About Joy

I’m Joy Jang, a physical therapist, clinician, educator, and researcher specializing in pelvic, sexual, and complex rehabilitation.

My work has evolved over more than two decades of clinical practice across musculoskeletal rehabilitation, pelvic and women’s health, persistent pain, and complex conditions. Over time, one idea has increasingly shaped the way I practice: meaningful rehabilitation is not simply about treating a painful body part—it is about understanding the person, the body, movement, and the life in which recovery needs to happen.

That perspective became the foundation of Joy Pelvic Lab.

My Clinical Perspective

I believe rehabilitation works best when science and clinical reasoning are connected with the realities of a person’s life.

  • Pelvic and women’s health rehabilitation

  • Sexual health and pelvic pain care

  • Musculoskeletal and movement science

  • Persistent pain and pain neuroscience

  • Hypermobility and complex conditions

  • Hands-on therapy and sensory-motor retraining

  • Education, self-management, and real-life functional recovery

Treatment is not defined by one technique. Assessment, clinical reasoning, individual goals, and the way each person responds guide how care progresses.
